Krystal Ramsden
Krystal Ramsden’s extensive experience in mining and capital markets, combined with her understanding of geopolitical risk, qualify her to serve on the board of public or private mining and exploration companies, particularly those operating internationally, including on risk, technical and audit committees.
Krystal Ramsden is an investment professional and mining engineer with 20 years of experience in metals and mining and capital markets. She was a founding partner of Extract Capital, growing assets under management from an initial $3 million to $350 million. She has experience in deal sourcing and structuring for public and private equity deployment, flow-through and debt investments. At Extract, Ms. Ramsden informed investment decisions across all commodities and jurisdictions, resulting in an annualized return of 14%. She built and led the team responsible for technical, engineering, and economic analysis. Ms. Ramsden is skilled in analyzing projects and companies from a fundamental, technical lens while communicating the significance of technical developments and parameters to finance professionals and generalists.
Ms. Ramsden holds a Master’s in International Affairs from the Fletcher School, a BASc in Mineral Engineering from the University of Toronto, as well as the Chartered Director (C.Dir) and Corporate Directors International (CDI.D™) designations. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in International Affairs from SAIS at Johns Hopkins University with a focus on critical minerals security.
