The live board certification program is designed to train small groups of women several times a year in an exclusive, premier structure. Participants receive individualized guidance and support aimed at enhancing their prospects of securing board positions. This program has been meticulously developed to equip candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge for identifying board opportunities, excelling in board interviews, and thriving in their initial board roles with a clear understanding of expectations and strategies for success. Graduates of this program receive ongoing introductions to board opportunities as well as additional training and networking.
Additionally, obtaining the board certification as a qualified candidate instills confidence and ensures competence in board service, preparing participants for effective and impactful governance roles.

How Does It Work?
Designed specifically for busy women to accommodate schedules and responsibilities, this comprehensive program will prepare you in less than 8 weeks to take your corporate board seat. The two-part curriculum begins with a 4-day intensive and ends with a full-day workshop, graduation, and certification, with home study and individual coaching sessions in between.
The number of participants are limited in order to maximize individual attention and focus.
Logistics

We start with a focused 4-day intensive training in retreat. These 4 days will allow you to focus on the board topics at hand, work on your board readiness, expand your board value, and connect with the peers in your cohort.

The 6-8 weeks following the retreat is your home study. During this time you'll work on assignments, participate in accountability meetings with partners, and attend 1:1 coaching with me to maximize your personal board profile.

We return after 6-8 weeks for a final full-day workshop to deep dive into the more technical content you need to know as a board candidate and member. This includes presentations, role-play, and discussion. At the end of the workshop is graduation and a VIP reception for all graduates. The certification exam will be circulated upon completion of the program.

The Live Board Certification program is $11,995 USD and due at the time of registration. Fees include tuition, 1:1 coaching sessions, books, case materials, workbook, and the CDI (Corporate Directors International) Certification Exam. Early bird discount pricing and payment plans are available.
Program fees are non-refundable, but attendees may defer to another session within 12 months. If you need to cancel or defer participation, you must submit your request in writing more than 30 days before the start of the program.

You will come out of this program with a certification representing that you know about boards and how they operate. More importantly, you will come out with your personal board brand, your action plan to get on boards and the knowledge of what the culture is like in the boardroom. You will be confident in yourself and competent about boards. You will have what you need to land that first, second or third board. You will also have a new network of supporters of other women in your cohort. You will be board ready.

Meet Michele
Michele Ashby is an accomplished leader with a diverse background in finance, mining and corporate boards. She is the Principal & Founder of ACE LLC and CDI LLC, where she trains and certifies women for corporate board positions. She has served on six corporate boards, 20+ years on non-profit boards, and 18 years on trade association boards. With 20 years of experience as a gold specialist/analyst and successful entrepreneur, she is a sought-after financial expert and keynote speaker. She is also an author of 3 books, ultra-athlete, and a philanthropist through the foundation she formed in her daughter’s memory, Dani's Foundation, which has contributed over $1 million for Ewing’s Sarcoma cancer research. She is a powerful force in her field and continues to drive positive change through her businesses and community involvement.
