How Does It Work?
Over the course of the 150 days you have access to course modules, materials and your workbooks. The modules are designed to take you through our process of board training to build your confidence and competence about boards and to attain your board certification. This is a self-paced, online program which you may start at any time. The package includes group coaching to motivate each participant to complete the work and interact with others who may be taking the course at the same time.

The program covers pertinent topics necessary for board members to understand such as board governance, financial acumen, risks and responsibilities for directors, and how women can get on boards, along with gender diversity in the boardroom. Participants will learn how to create a killer board resume, nail a board interview, and how to be respected in the boardroom. Additionally, there are a number of exercises and discussions in the class regarding your personal board brand.
This online course contains direct content from the live certification program, which has a proven track record of helping women get on boards since 2018. Registration for the course includes all of the 22 modules, workbook, PDFs and exercises, totaling over 250 pages of material.

Motivate yourself by working in a group setting throughout the entire guided course. Share your experiences and learn from others in the cohort to encourage everyone’s progress. The most common way to get on a board is through your connections, and through this program you will discover how to build and use your network to gain insight into finding and choosing the right board opportunities for you.

Group coaching calls will be held through the program to answer you and your cohort’s questions as you go through the modules.
Your schedule for these pre-set calls will be sent to you upon your registration. During these calls we’ll answer questions you may have regarding the course or experiences with the tools and skills you’ll develop through the program.

Once all 22 modules have been completed, you will be sent the link to the CDI (Corporate Directors International) Certification Exam. You will have 60 days to take and pass the test to earn your certification. This is a multiple choice exam consisting of questions about board governance, financial acumen, risks and responsibilities, and ethics, all which are covered in the course materials and content. This is an online, open book exam, and you will have 2 hours to complete it. You may take the test over if you do not pass the first time.
Once you’ve passed, you will be sent a certificate from CDI that you may post to social media and add to your resume. You will also have earned the designation as a certified board candidate from CDI and you may list it as CDI.D.
The CDI Board Certification is recognized in the marketplace by companies who are looking for certified board candidates.

She has served on six corporate boards, 20+ years on non-profit boards, and 18 years on trade association boards. With 20 years of experience as a gold specialist/analyst and successful entrepreneur, she is a sought-after financial expert and keynote speaker. She is also an author of 3 books, ultra-athlete, and a philanthropist through the foundation she formed in her daughter’s memory, Dani's Foundation, which has contributed over $1 million for Ewing’s Sarcoma cancer research. She is a powerful force in her field and continues to drive positive change through her businesses and community involvement.
