Kathy Keating is a recognized technology executive, published author, board-certified director, and co-founder with over 30 years of experience advising and scaling high-growth SaaS, FinTech, HealthTech, HRTech, and GovTech companies. She built one of the earliest large-scale commercial AI applications in the 1990s, a mobile fraud detection system that captured 80% of the global market and remains in use today. Kathy has led major digital transformations across finance and healthcare, including the redesign of Fidelity Investments’ 401(k) trading platform and development of large-scale custom enterprise applications.
She directed the $800M enterprise roadmap at Monster .com, managed a $20M annual budget, and led a major offshoring initiative to increase scalability. As co-founder and CTO of a venture-backed HealthTech startup, she built a HIPAA-compliant FinTech payment platform processing over $4M daily and secured 25+ strategic API partnerships with platforms like Credit Karma and Nerdwallet. Kathy served as an executive leader for a $150M GovTech services firm supporting federal agencies and currently advises more than 15 CEOs and CTOs across startup and mid-market companies.
Her expertise spans artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, and operational effectiveness. She is the co-author of Liquid: How CEOs and CTOs Unlock Flow and Momentum in Complex Systems, and is also the co-creator of the CTO Levels leadership framework, used by thousands of CTOs globally.
