Corinne Smit is a senior leader with over 18 years of financial and commercial mining industry experience. Corinne is focused on commercial strategy, customer and partnership, sales and marketing, sales contract negotiation, strategic planning & execution, and bringing strong, disciplined commercial acumen to the table. She successfully leads a global commercial team that delivers $12 billion in annual global sales and logistics for Newmont, the world’s largest gold mining company. She is a subject matter expert in commercial matters including logistics, sales and marketing of concentrates including copper, gold, lead, zinc, in addition to selling dore and byproducts. She has demonstrated leadership across finance, accounting, sales and marketing, strategic planning, M&A activities. Corinne brings an extensive global mining industry network. Corinne has extensive global experience having either been based in or worked for companies in Canada, Mexico, Australia, Argentina, the USA, Eritrea, Serbia, and Hong Kong.
