Dr. Tamara Nall, Board Candidate Earns Doctorate in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering

Congratulations to Tamara Nall for earning a Doctorate in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering from George Washington University. This is a notable accomplishment, and you deserve to be recognized for it - well done.

Congratulations to Tamara Nall for earning a Doctorate in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering from George Washington University. This is a notable accomplishment, and you deserve to be recognized for it - well done.

ACE LLC Announces ACE Candidate, Tamara Nall, earns a Doctorate in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering.

ARLINGTON, VA (December 28, 2021)- Tamara Nall, CEO of The Leading Niche, has added to the depth of her qualifications and expertise, after earning a Doctorate in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering from George Washington University.

This latest achievement makes Nall one of only a few female Doctors in Engineering. She said: “I am so honored to be one of the few women to receive the highest level of academic accomplishment in engineering and specifically, machine learning. I dedicate this accomplishment to the millions of kids who have a passion for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and encourage them to persevere against the odds and pursue a career in this field to change the world.”

Nall completed the Doctoral program with a dissertation that focused on machine learning. The dissertation was titled “Using Machine Learning to Predict Performance Issues with U.S. Federal Contracts” and explored how the federal government could reduce terminated or de-obligated contracts with Machine Learning.

Although the Federal Government incorporates data analytics programs, Dr. Nall studied awards from fiscal years 2014 to 2020, which showed that The U.S. Federal Government terminated or deobligated over $3.3 billion. Her research discovered that Machine Learning can be an effective tool in reducing the number of contract terminations. Through her research, she identified several influential variables to avoid performance issues in contracts awarded and provided a method to predict issues with contracts before they are awarded. The research also provided insights into federal contracting personnel concerning which variables (and their predictability) most strongly influence contract termination, so that decision makers can focus on them to avoid performance issues when awarding contracts.

Dr. Nall’s award-winning company, The Leading Niche, uses data and cutting-edge consulting to offer data analytics, machine learning and cloud solutions to her federal government clients. But with her new qualification, Dr. Nall, who is also tiktok's First Federal Contracting Expert, is positioning herself as a tech and machine leading authority. When asked how her new doctorate will influence her line of work, she explained: "Success is highly dependent on strategic decisions, but this new qualification has provided me with a more critical lens to view the future of strategic decisions and how machine learning can improve the outcome."

In addition to her newest qualification, Dr. Nall holds an MBA from The Harvard Business School in Boston, MA. She also boasts a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology and a BBA from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. But that’s not all, Nall is also the recipient of an honorary degree, Doctor of Humane Letters from Luther Rice College and Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia.

Congratulations to Cody Teets for her appointment to Interim President of Regis University. Cody is the first female and lay leader of the 144-year-old Jesuit Catholic institution. We are so proud of you.

ACE LLC Announces the appointment of ACE Graduate, Cody Teets, CDI.D™, to Interim President of Regis University.

The Regis University Board of Trustees has named alumna and trustee Cody Teets to become Interim President effective Jan. 1, 2022. Teets grew up in North Denver and rose through the ranks to vice president at McDonald’s Corporation.

Teets, who is also a Regis affiliate business faculty member, will succeed the Rev. John P. Fitzgibbons, S.J., who announced last month he will step down on Dec. 31, 2021, after nearly 10 years as Regis’ 24th president.

Teets is the first female and lay leader of the 144-year-old Jesuit Catholic institution. She will serve until a permanent president is selected. The national search will launch in early 2022 and is expected to be completed in the summer.

Speaking on behalf of the Board of Trustees, Chair Robert B. Engel said, “We are delighted that Cody has enthusiastically agreed to serve as our Interim President. There is no one in a better position to build on the good works of Fr. Fitzgibbons and provide leadership to the Regis community until we can complete an exhaustive search for the 25th President. As an alum and a faculty member, she deeply understands and supports our Jesuit Catholic identity and the high quality of our faculty and staff. She will drive our commitment to the education and growth of a highly diverse student population creating leaders in service to others.”

"I am honored and appreciative to have the confidence of Bob Engel and the Board of Trustees to serve in the role of Interim President. Regis has a strong cabinet and faculty that I am proud to partner with," Teets said. "I look forward to working in partnership with the Regis community to build upon excellence in higher education. I am excited to be in a collaborative position where together we will continue to be more, to seek more, and give more."

About Cody:

Teets started working at McDonald’s while attending Pomona High School in Arvada. While an employee, she earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder and later a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Regis. Shortly after graduating from Regis in 1998, Teets rose to divisional operations director and later was promoted to Market CEO with oversight of the 8th largest global market

In her final role as vice president for franchise relations, she managed engagement with 1,800 independent franchisees representing 14,000 restaurants and 550,000 employees. She also authored a book, Golden Opportunity: Remarkable Careers That Began at McDonald's, to demonstrate how entry-level jobs, often the butt of jokes, can launch very successful careers, including that of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. All proceeds from the book benefit the Ronald McDonald House, which provides a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children being treated at hospitals.

Teets left McDonald’s in 2017 to start her own consultancy firm advising private equity, small businesses and universities on operations, reinvestment, and training challenges. She has been a Regis trustee since 2013, and an affiliate professor in the Regis MBA program since 2018. Teets resides in Arvada with her husband Dan. They have two adult children.

“It is an immense honor to be recognized along with other brilliant and resilient women who have worked relentlessly during the pandemic to create impactful growth in their businesses. We all had to wear multiple or additional hats in 2021; in our businesses and at home. We had the pressure to perform not only to ensure our businesses thrived and flourished, but to also ensure that our team members were safe, healthy, and continued to be able to support themselves and their families. Every decision, every day, and at times, every hour, counted last year. There was no roadmap for what to do and what were best practices under those circumstances. I have always believed that there isn’t a limit to what one can accomplished with hard work, preparation, and dedication when surrounded by, and when influenced by, the right group of people. In that sense, I am proud to be part of WPO, and to be an ACE alumna. As we look forward to wrapping up another challenging year, I am inspired by what all of us 50 honorees were able to accomplish during these trying times. If we were all able to successfully navigate 2020 and 2021, I cannot wait to see what the future holds for each one of us.”

Critical Elements Lithium Corporation aspires to become a large, responsible supplier of lithium to the flourishing electric vehicle and energy storage system industries. To this end, Critical Elements Lithium is advancing the wholly owned, high purity Rose lithium project in Quebec. Rose is the Company’s first lithium project to be advanced within a highly prospective land portfolio of over 700 square kilometers. In 2017, the Company completed a robust feasibility study on Rose Phase 1 for the production of high quality spodumene concentrate. The internal rate of return for the Project is estimated at 34.9% after tax, with a net present value estimated at C$726 million at an 8% discount rate. Capital cost parameters were confirmed in 2019 by Primero Group in the context of a Guaranteed Maximum Price under an Early Contractor Involvement agreement, as a prelude to an Engineering, Procurement and Construction process.
