QUEBEC, June 2026: Aya Gold & Silver announces the appointment of Krystal Ramsden to the board of directors.
Ms. Krystal Ramsden is a mining engineer and investment professional with 20 years of experience in the metals, mining, and energy sectors. Ms. Ramsden is currently Director of Strategy at the Applied Policy Resource Lab. She was a founding partner and Head of Research at Extract Capital, where she led technical and capital markets analysis of mining and oil & gas investments. Previously, she worked at Cormark Securities and GMP Securities covering gold, base metals, and specialty resources. She holds a BASc in Mineral Engineering from the University of Toronto, an MA in International Affairs from Tufts University, and has completed a Doctorate in International Affairs at Johns Hopkins University with a focus on critical minerals security.

Krystal Ramsden is an investment professional and mining engineer with 20 years of experience in metals and mining and capital markets. She was a founding partner of Extract Capital, growing assets under management from an initial $3 million to $350 million. She has experience in deal sourcing and structuring for public and private equity deployment, flow-through and debt investments. At Extract, Ms. Ramsden informed investment decisions across all commodities and jurisdictions, resulting in an annualized return of 14%. She built and led the team responsible for technical, engineering, and economic analysis. Ms. Ramsden is skilled in analyzing projects and companies from a fundamental, technical lens while communicating the significance of technical developments and parameters to finance professionals and generalists.
Ms. Ramsden holds a Doctorate in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins Univeristy, a Master’s in International Affairs from the Fletcher School, a BASc in Mineral Engineering from the University of Toronto, as well as the Chartered Director (C.Dir) and Corporate Directors International (CDI.D™) designations.
