About Corinne:

Corinne Boone has 30+ years experience in energy, mining, infrastructure and financial services sectors concentrated on integrating economic, environmental, and social considerations into business. She has specialized in carbon finance and carbon markets (OTC and digital exchanges), sustainability strategy development and implementation, and sustainability reporting. She is a recognized global carbon market pioneer, climate strategist and facilitator of carbon transactions.

Corinne brings significant leadership expertise, building and leading global multi-disciplinary teams and major projects as well as developing and mentoring talent. She has extensive experience working on global initiatives and projects in the mining, infrastructure, energy, and financial services sectors.

Corinne is an Accredited Director (CDI.D) and holds the Global Competent Boards (GCB) ESG Designation. In addition, she is a Program Mentor for Women Get on Boards (WGOB) and a regular lecturer for the CDI Director Designation Program.

Corinne is a seasoned Corporate Director and has served on numerous Boards and Advisory Committees over the last 20+ years related to energy, natural resources, and financial services. She currently serves on Boards and Committees including:

  • Canada Growth Fund, Independent Director and Board Chair

  • Los Andes Copper Ltd. (TSXV:LA), Independent Director and Chair, ESG Committee

  • EfficiencyOne (E1), Independent Director, Finance Committee, Management Resources and Compensation Committee

  • Waratah Capital, Core Fund, Independent Review Committee Chair (outgoing)

In addition, Corinne is the CEO of Climate and Sustainable Innovation (CSI), a boutique consultancy specializing in ESG, carbon finance, carbon markets, and sustainable business practices.

Formerly Managing Director (MD) of the Environmental Services Group at Hatch, she was responsible for environment, climate change, sustainability, community investment, Indigenous partnerships, acquisitions, and annual corporate sustainability reporting. She built the Group into the company’s highest performing business practice, which led to significantly increased revenue (actual amounts confidential information). She led global teams that successfully integrated environment and sustainability considerations into large, complex engineering projects.

Formerly Managing Director at Cantor Fitzgerald Environmental Brokerage Services, she co-founded and operated a greenhouse gas (GHG) brokerage subsidiary and developed it into a highly successful global brokerage focused on complex multi-million-dollar transactions.

Corinne holds a Master of Environmental Studies from York University and an Honors BA from St. Thomas University.
